Blueprint for Pigment Power I (BPPI) is a global convening designed to ignite unity among melanin-dominant people across the African diaspora. Generations of fragmentation, miseducation, and deliberate erasure have weakened collective consciousness and disrupted pathways to shared power. BPPI exists to reverse that trajectory.

Rooted in the intellectual legacy of African and Black scholarship—including the work of Amos Wilson and his seminal text Blueprint for Black Power—BPPI centers melanin as both consciousness and connector. This conference is not symbolic; it is strategic. It is about constructing a research-driven vision for upliftment grounded in pigment, history, and social theory.

The inaugural BPPI conference will be held in the United States, with an international scope and future convenings planned across the Caribbean, the African continent, and global regions where melanin-dominant people live—often in isolation or under hostile systems. From dismantling colonial divisions to strengthening diasporic unity, BPPI serves as a scaffold for a renewed African/Black-centered consciousness.

Oppression does not discriminate by religion, nationality, politics, or class. It targets pigment. Therefore, melanin is the unifying hub—and the blueprint—for power, resilience, and success.

In 2025, the whitewashing of history is cracking. The work ahead is to repaint, restore, and return—deliberately and collectively—to an African/Black consciousness that informs our science, history, politics, and economics.
